Job Title: Air & Sea Supervisor
REPORT TO: Operations Manager
Country: Uganda
Job Description (Duties): Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate, track & update relevant parties on all shipments (Air & Sea).
Ensure proper filling procedures met per file.
Coordinate with declaration staff on prompt and efficient clearance of shipments & deliveries on time.
Coordinate & ensure status reports sent to clients daily.
Approve or reject any third party charges billed for each job done.
Approve e-bill to all related files.
Prepare monthly statistics per department.
Control all costs being incurred on each file to avoid any loses.
Maximize productivity & performance of all processes in the company.
Assist GM in quotation to clients but in consultation.
Advise clients on necessary documents required for customs clearance.
Assist both Operations Manager & GM to prepare end month reports (FSL).
Assist the Operations Manager to prepare statistics each end of the month.
Coordinate with Operations Managers letters to be done for customs processes & also produce release orders/delivery notes for each delivery done.
Coordinate shipments overseas with other K+N stations.
Do all CIEL updates in system (Cargo 2000).
Open all Airfreight Files.
Ensure break-bulk fees collected when documents are handed over to consignees & account to Finance Manager.
Ensure all petty cash accountability accounted for daily.
Keep good filling of files.
Necessary Qualifications:
Must have good customer relationship skills.
Must be an action oriented person.
Problem solver.
Good knowledge of managing people.
Good knowledge of freight forwarding (Air & Sea- Imports/Exports) & logistics.
Team player with good interpersonal skills.
Good communicator.
Knowledge of MS PowerPoint/Excel & Word.
Have a commercial acumen.
Must have some sales skills who can presentable to clients.
Preferably someone with 3 years experience in freight forwarding & a graduate.
