Job Title: General Manager
Our client Bourbon is a global chain of coffee shops in Rwanda and is seeking to recruit a result driven and motivated individual for the vacancy below;
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain a consistent business focus with the goal of meeting or exceeding performance targets established for all the local chains.
Develop and discuss goals and development plans with chain managers and follow up on performance of all the stores.
Maintain effective communication with chain managers, sales managers and operations managers both verbally and in writing.
Develop and implement a unique corporate culture in all chains by following the international standards.
Overall operational and financial management of all the chains including designing of policies / procedures and ensuring effectiveness thereof.
Play a significant role in long-term planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence.
Assist in project development through planning, implementation and monitoring of all new and existing coffee shops projects locally.
Develop and implement policies, procedures, controls and business models to be adopted in all chains opened locally.
Coordinate development of strategic and business plans.
Drive the implementation of company programs by developing action plans, and directly motivating and instructing the store managers to implement them to meet operational and organizational objectives.
Constantly review key business indicators to identify problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement to achieve operational goals in all stores.
Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations.
Develop the coffee shop franchise policy locally and coordinate franchise negotiations and monitoring operations of franchises to ensure quality assurance.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelors Degree or its equivalent, a Masters degree is added advantage,
3 to 5 years of operations and training experience, preferably with a major International coffee shop/fast food/casual dining restaurant concept.
Managerial level with a world class coffee shop with at least 7 years in financial and operational management is an very urge advantage
Strong ability in tracking budgets, control of expenses, training, motivating others, giving feedback, supervision, coaching, process improvement and relationship building.
Excellent computer skills and proficiency in excel, word, outlook, and access.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff groups and major projects or initiatives.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
Must be fluent in English working knowledge in other international languages is added advantage.
